Me and Jacopo trying out our favorites!

Hello everyone!I have been taking my new wife Jessica all around my home town, showing her the places where I grew up and the where I first started my love of cooking Italian food! Of course a lot of that comes from my mother and a lot from watching my grandparents cook traditiional Italian dishes made from the freshest herbs, vegetables, seafood, and meats, in a style of cooking that goes way beyond just the following of a recipe. My grandfather says you can have all the fancy tableware and the expensive kitchen, but if you don’t have a love and passion for your food and friends to enjoy it with, you have wasted your time. It’s been 2 years now since I have been back home to Florence and I wanted to really reconnect with my roots, my family and friends, and the senses of my home town before I dive in and start my new life with my beautiful wife, cooking for you the most amazing Italian dishes you will ever try! I am reconnecting with my old purveyors, checking out where to get the cheeses and dry goods I love so much but cannot get in America and seeing how I can get them back to the States to have in my new restaurant. Jacopo, who is going to be my general manager, is talking with our local wineries and seeing how we can bring back our local favorites to your table. I believe we can make arrangements to get it to America so you must come to my restaurant when we open to try out all the new things we will have. The pictures I have included today are just some of the places Jessica and I have been to. I am showing her where I used to get my ingredients for the restaurant I used to cook at. If you ever visited Florence from 2003 to 2005 and dined at Central Park, Osteria Del Angolo, or Mariposa, you might have had some of my cooking.

Enjoy the pictures and we will write soon again

!Ciao!
Fabio and Jessica

me-and-my-first-boss

Yes I know everyone who loves Italian cuisine has heard some story about a “new Italian restaurant” opening up in Moorpark.? And something about a martini bar and great ambiance.? Well it is true!? We just wanted to keep you up to date with what is going on since there does not appear to be much happening at the moment.? But behind the scenes we are busy working out the final details of our restaurant, getting permits, dealing with vendors and furniture people.? While some of the team stays to work on that stuff, me and Jacopo, my good friend from Florence, are here in Italy searching out our favorite food purveyors and are making arrangements to have our very own hometown favorites shipped directly to us in Moorpark, CA!? You won’t believe the fabulous foods we will have for you!? Some of our menu is already up on our temporary site.? We have some of the most incredible wine we will be bringing in just for our restaurant, direct from Italy.? The same for cheeses, pastas, and many dry goods.? Keep checking back on this site as I will be posting pictures of my trip for you.?? The pictures here are from a deli close to my house in Florence and a picture of my very first employer in Italy!? I star

ted in this kitchen when I was 13 years old!???  Tell everyone you know about the new

Italian Restaurant coming to Moorpark!? See you in a couple of weeks!??
